I met Mick at secondary school and we had been friends ever since.  I remember visiting Alexander Road many times and can also remember the scotch being plied to me by Mick's dad (when I was old enough to appreciate it!)  It was always a pleasure to see Mick and his warmth and humility shone through, you know a good mate when you see them after a while and they open up with taking the mickey and that was the pair of us.  I can only offer sincere condolences to Chris, Hayley and Alex and to Mick's sisters Lynda, Karen and Jane and all of their extended family from myself and Shirley and look forward to an opportunity to show our appreciation of Mick's life and friendship when we can finally get together to celebrate his life.
